8th Grade Spring Play Hilariously Retells Fairytales
In their final arts showcase of the year, the Bay Ridge Prep 8th grade class presented the “Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon” for their families and friends. The play is a hilarious retelling of classic fairytales that truly let the personality of every student-thespian shine!
The audience watched and laughed out loud as narrators attempted to tell all 209 of the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm at an energetic pace while combining them into one story featuring classics such as “Rapunzel”, “Rumpelstiltskin”, “Hansel and Gretel”, “Snow White”, “Sleeping Beauty”, “Cinderella” in addition to other childhood stories.
After the show’s final run, Marissa Troeschel, Lower & Middle School theater director, said she wanted to give, “a very special thank you to the cast for sharing their final year at Bay Ridge Prep’s Middle School” with her.
“It has been a privilege to work with such a talented and dedicated group of students,” she continued. “I have loved watching every moment they spent on stage and I hope that they all continue to keep theatre a part of their lives!”

The crew consisted of Grace Berkovich and Amalia Rollman in 7th Grade plus Owen Gallagher in 10th Grade directing lights and sounds.
