Bay Ridge Prep’s After School Program provides students enrolled in our Lower & Middle School with a safe and engaging place to spend the afternoon through a combination of homework support, creative enrichment, athletics, and recreational activities. We ensure every moment from dismissal until 5 p.m. is filled with engaging activities, creativity, and fun.
The After School Program begins on the first day of school and runs until Monday, June 14. There is no after school program on Tuesday, June 15, the last day of school.
The program runs on a seasonal trimester system. Some activities are available during each of the fall, winter, and spring trimesters, while other activities are available seasonally.
Fall 2026 Trimester:
Sept. 9 – Nov. 24
Winter 2026/27 Trimester:
Nov. 30 – Feb. 26
Spring 2027 Trimester:
March 1 – June 14
Option 1: Full Program | $1925 per trimester
Students enrolled in the full program attend each day and participate in a daily activity for their grade level. Snacks are included. Additional fee applies for swimming ($540 per trimester) and karate ($110 annual fee). Click for 5 day, 3 day, or individual activity registration.
Option 2: Three Days Per Week | $1285 per trimester
Students enrolled in this option attend the same three days each week and participate in an activity for their grade level on those days. Snacks are included. Option 3: Individual Activities Only | See activity details for rates
Students can enroll in individual activities for their grade level without enrolling in the after school program. Students enrolled only in an activity must be picked up at the conclusion of the activity. Click for 5 day, 3 day, or individual activity registration.
Extra Activity Notes:
5th & 6th Grade Baseball/Softball, Basketball, Cross Country and Soccer Clubs are facilitated by the athletics department at no cost. Registration required through athletics. If you have not yet registered, please email Athletics Director Mike Petri at mpetri@bayridgeprep.org.
Swimming, Grades 3-6 (Fall & Winter Only) requires additional registration of $540/trimester. The program is run by the YMCA Staten Island and facilitated by Bay Ridge Prep. Transportation to/from YMCA Staten Island is included. Click for swimming registration.
Karate requires separate registration of $110/year. Annual fee includes uniform, belt, and enrollment in World Martial Arts Association. Click for karate registration.
Grades 7 and 8 students are also eligible to register and join the following fall season Bay Ridge Prep Tigers teams that compete in the Independent School Athletic League (ISAL):
