Elisa was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Prior to joining Bay Ridge Prep in 2015, Elisa graduated from Nyack College magna cum laude with a degree in Childhood Education (Math & English concentration). After college, she taught 3rd grade at Hunter College Elementary School and is currently pursuing her M.A. in TESOL. Elisa loves to sing, play with her dog, play sports like volleyball and try new foods. Elisa has a passion for helping students develop a love for learning, as well as confidence in their own abilities. She is committed to excellence and is dedicated in helping every student grow intellectually, emotionally and socially. She is especially passionate about teaching third grade, where students transition into becoming more independent learners. Elisa also loves to use hands-on activities and interactive games to help students understand new concepts.
