Michaela earned her B.A. from Boston University and graduated from Fordham University with a PhD in School Psychology and a Masters in Therapeutic Interventions. Her dissertation research focused on how school psychologists’ impressions of student misbehavior were influenced by student race and SES. Michaela is a licensed psychologist in New York State.

 

Michaela has experience teaching graduate psychology courses at Fordham University, remediating reading disabilities utilizing an Orton-Gillingham approach, and conducting therapy with children and teens in a small private practice after school. At Bay Ridge Prep, you might find Michaela running with the students at cross country practice or animatedly discussing pop music.
