Annie is originally from Montreal, Quebec and studied acting and dramatic literature at Dawson College’s Dome Theatre Program before moving to New York City. She went on to earn a B.Sc. in Educational Theatre from NYU Steinhardt, and later an MA in Drama, Theatre, and Performance Studies from the University of Toronto.

Annie comes to Bay Ridge Prep after eight years of teaching theatre at BASIS Independent Brooklyn. In her position at BIB, she worked to build a robust and joyful theatre program – developing theatre curriculum, directing and co-directing dozens of productions, and teaching theatre courses spanning from Pre-K creative drama to Upper school electives. Annie also facilitated the school’s GSA and LGBTQ+ Affinity Group. Annie’s theatre work includes production dramaturgy with emerging playwrights, directing and performing theatre for young audiences, and crafting adaptations of classic works for young performers.

When Annie isn’t sharing the joys of theatre with her students she enjoys, cooking vegan meals, spending time with her Yorkie, running half and full marathons, and of course seeing and creating as much theatre as possible.
